Treatments

Because we believe that no one patient is the same, we believe our approach and treatments should reflect that. We focus on getting to the root issues and not just treating symptoms – we do this by utilizing a wide-range of treatments and supplementation.

Treatments offered:

+ Nutritional Support

We believe Food is Medicine, so we believe that what you choose to eat and drink matters!

If one little pill you take can have huge effects on your body, why wouldn’t the food and drink you take in on a daily basis have an affect on you and how you function?

We believe that there are guiding principles of what you eat and how you eat that will promote health, vitality, optimal function, ideal weight and healthy aging as well as prevent chronic disease! You are amazing, and your body is a beautiful, intricate, complex, biochemical, hormonal, and genetic miracle that operates largely by the fuel you put in it. So what you eat, yes every bite you eat, every drink you drink, matters!

+ Supplementation

We often use supplementation as part of a thorough treatment plan for healing and repair. A supplement by definition is “to complete or make an addition too, to strengthen the whole or to make up for a deficiency.” However with the understanding you can’t “out supplement a poor diet”. But, with a healthy whole foods diet, lifestyle and supplement recommendations we can work to strengthen the body as a whole, for optimal health, and vitality.

We provide a selection of products both in our office and through our online dispensary. (can the patient click from here if we highlight “online dispensary” Supplements purchased through other outlets can vary in quality and price. We offer brands and types that are professional grade and proven to meet our standard of care. You can use your FSA/HSA when you make purchases in our office or through our online store. And if you become a member you receive 20% of your supplements both in store and online.

+ Botanical/Herbal Medicine

Botanical or otherwise referred to as Herbal Medicine is the use of plants or plant extracts for medicinal purposes. More “Food as Medicine!” Since the beginning of creation and across cultures people have been using plants for their health, healing, culinary and medicinal benefits. They are such a gift to us, and we love using plants in our office to treat a variety of health conditions! Researchers have found amazing, naturally occurring chemical compounds that come from plant seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark or flowers. These biological fingerprints can impact us profoundly, impacting disease and symptoms. We trust in the blessing as outlined in the Bible when in Genesis 1:29 it says ,”Then God said, I give you every seed bearing plant on the whole face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” and in Ezekiel 42:12 “Their fruit will serve for food, and their leaves for healing”.

+ Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment that originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine that roughly dates back to 500 BC. Trained practitioners insert thin needles under the skin along specific points of the body called meridian channels that are considered pathways in the body in which energy flows. A frequent question that is asked is, “Does acupuncture hurt?”. And it may come as a surprise that although needles are used, the treatments are relatively pain-free. And most often our desire is for our patients to relax and rest during their treatment times. We use acupuncture to treat a wide variety of diseases, pain and stress-related symptoms. Such as: muscle spasms and pain, chronic back pain, headaches/migraines, neck pain, osteoarthritis, knee pain, digestive problems, anxiety, depression, and addiction recovery.

+ Biopuncture Treatment/Therapy

Biopuncture is a treatment in which we inject small amounts of homeopathic medication into specific locations. This is implemented to specific points to ease pain, inflammation and symptoms. We typically inject just under the skin, or in the muscle tissue.. These injections help with inflammatory processes and support the natural healing methods using homeopathy. Some common treatments often used are Traumeel for inflammation and acute injuries such as sports injuries, Zeel for chronic joint pain, Spascupreel for muscular cramps, and Lymphomyosot for lymphatic drainage.

+ Hydrotherapy

We love the healing power of water! Hydrotherapy is a method of using water and temperature to facilitate healing. Heat relaxes the tissues and increases blood flow to an area, alternatively, cold will constrict and relieve congestion and inflammation. When we alternate cold and heat we are creating a “pump-like” effect bringing oxygen and nutrients to the cells/tissue and removing metabolic waste and debris out of the cells and out the body. This quiet but gentle giant of a therapy can help tonify multiple organ systems. Some conditions we may recommend hydrotherapy for are: chronic pain, insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, autoimmune conditions, headaches, fibromyalgia, respiratory infections, bronchitis, constipation, and more.

+ Infrared Sauna Therapy

Infrared Saunas can aid the body in detoxification from chemicals and heavy metals. They can also increase blood flow, getting oxygen and nutrients to the cells, while providing relief of pain and stiffness and reducing soreness. They can also help boost the immune system, and reduce blood pressure. Infrared saunas also provide relaxation and the release of endorphins, the “feel good” neurotransmitter. We love to recommend it as an adjunct therapy for weight loss, a 2009 study conducted by Dr. Richard Beever showed that infrared saunas provide significant results in lowering weight and waist circumference in just 3 months. It can also be utilized as a key treatment recommendation for mold exposure, autoimmune conditions, such as Hashimoto’s, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lyme’s Disease, Grave’s Disease, and more. (If recommended by your Doctor, anyone can benefit from this, but ask about our membership program to see how you can utilize this healing benefit to the fullest!)

+ PRP or HA Microneedling treatments for scar therapy, anti-aging (PRP-Platelet Rich Plasma or HA-Hyaluronic Acid)

Microneedling helps to revitalize the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and the appearance of acne scars, as well as tighten pores and increase elasticity. Patients who are looking for a non-surgical approach and would like enhanced results and a speedy recovery may want to consider Microneedling. Nearly anyone can benefit from Microneedling procedures because treatments are safe and effective for all skin types and tones. Our Doctors will evaluate your concerns and help decide if Microneedling (or Microneedling with PRP) is right for you!

+ Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Mild Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the therapeutic use of oxygen and increased air pressure. It is often delivered at a level higher than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA). Our office utilizes the Vitaeris 320 by OxyHealth, which offers mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 1.3 ATA. It is a mild and noninvasive therapy designed to increase oxygen levels to all organs of the body. The typical treatment lasts for 60 minutes, and patients can sleep, read, or be on a portable electronic device. Patients are continually monitored by an attendant during the treatment.

HBOT has been shown in clinical studies to enhance the body’s innate ability to repair and regenerate. We use it as an adjunct therapy to complement and enhance the healing process in both chronic and acute conditions along with lifestyle and other treatment recommendations. Conditions we have utilized mHBOT for include: Surgery/Injury recovery, Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Sports Performance, Concussions, Inflammation and AutoImmune Conditions, PTSD, Anxiety, and many other conditions.

+ Low Level Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or often referred to as Cold Laser is a form of phototherapy that involves the application of low powered structured light waves to injuries and lesions to stimulate healing, and increase the speed, quality and strength of tissue repair. Treatment with LLLT has been shown to reduce inflammation, increase range of motion and provide pain relief.

LLLT is a major advancement in healing and is changing what is possible for treatment of chronic injuries, pain management, neurological disorders like autism, Alzheimer’s Disease and MS, and facilitating the healing process in many disease conditions, such as stroke. Studies have also demonstrated significant improvement in chronic neck and shoulder pain.

+ Homeopathy

Homeopathic medicine stimulates the body to heal itself. These medicines, often called remedies, are derived from a variety of natural substances. They go through a series of dilutions, to the point that the original substance is no longer molecularly available. This medicine works to stimulate your vital force, or in other words your body’s ability to heal within.

We love using this therapy with our patients because it is very safe, effective, and inexpensive. This medicine can be used alongside of any other prescriptions, can be used at any age, and during pregnancy/lactation. This therapy is very individualized and specific. During the intake we try to understand exactly how you are experiencing your symptoms, which will help us determine the most indicated remedy for you. Homeopathy can be used for many conditions with just a few being depression, anxiety, digestive concerns, acute illness, ADHD, behavior issues, chronic fatigue, and migraines.
